Thanks to everyone who showed up at the "kick-off" meeting. Mr. Hildebrandt facilitated. He outlined some past accomplishments of the Parker Green Squad, discussed reasons to be a member, and rolled out his hopes for this years group.
Parker Green Squad helped clean Monterrey Stadium of recyclables after home football games this season. The clean-ups became known as StadiumSweep. Several members deserve thanks for volunteering their time and efforts as we ensured that recyclables made their way into the proper bins.
The Parker Green Squad also helped to make the 2011 Parker Homecoming Parade a reality. About fifteen members "marched or scootered" along at the back of the parade cleaning up candy and debris as we went along. It was our presence that allowed Parker to get a parade permit from the city...so without us the super fun parade would have never happened!!! Thanks to those members who helped out.
